Ecuador Project
We have been getting some amazing results with hugely increased crop yields of maize and other crops in the Ecuadorian Amazon. We have been working there since 2016. Our partners include local agricultural colleges and NGO’s. We are working with local farmers to conduct a number of field trials.
Cameroon Project
Gaston Bityo
In 2009 Gaston Bityo invited Rainforest Saver to work with him and his NGO, Volunteers Serving Development in what became the Cameroon Inga Project, of which he is now the National Coordinator. He has introduced Inga to farmers in at least 25 villages, participated in studies to find best practice, demonstrated the effectiveness of Inga to restore soil fertility, worked with some schools, and has trained several other Cameroonians to become Inga promoters.

Atanga Wilson
Atanga Wilson has worked with over 100 farmers and several schools from 16 villages in the Anglophone region of Cameroon. He was originally trained as an Inga promotor by Gaston Bityo. He is participating in a study to further develop best practice, and has collected data showing that growing cocoa, maize and beans with Inga gives much higher yields than without it.

Linus Arong
Linus Arong was also trained by Gaston Bityo, and works in the Anglophone region of Cameroon near Korup National Park. He has started over 300 farmers in 10 villages with Inga. He became very concerned about the illegal hunting that is decimating the wildlife in the Park and is introducing pig farming as an alternative.

Dr. Guillermo Valle works with rural schools in Honduras.
Marco works with farmers in the Cangrejal River basin in Honduras.
In Kenya, Pastor Nsandah Premous has started 15 farmers with Inga plots in association with The Kenya Institute of Organic Farming and The Kenya Forestry Research Institute.
